The PAC is comprised of 15 Maryland residents from 9 rural counties, recruited through the ARTEMIS website and local community outreach efforts. The group includes both individuals with lived or living polysubstance use experiences as well as people who may currently work or be affected by polysubstance use.
The initial PAC meetings will focus on providing opportunities to get to know each other, discuss the guiding principles, and complete research trainings. Future meetings will be scheduled and facilitated by PAC members and will be used to review consultation requests, discuss ongoing research, plan future activities, etc.
